At Infostates, we believe artificial intelligence must serve human dignity — not power. As an independent European knowledge hub, we connect science, ethics, and education to guide AI development with moral clarity. In an age of war, disinformation, and political instability, we offer a civil alternative: frameworks, campaigns, and coalitions that empower public values over private control. We don’t build AI — we build awareness and direction. We seek investors not for profit, but for purpose: to help Europe — and the world — shape technology for peace, not dominance. If that’s your mission too, let’s work together.
A Balanced Approach to AI:
Towards Sustainable Collaboration Between Humans and Machines
OUR MISSION
Introduction
The rapid evolution of technology makes the discussion about artificial intelligence (AI) not just technically, but also ethically and socially relevant. AI is transforming various aspects of our daily lives and often surpasses human capabilities in terms of speed, precision, and scalability. With the rise of high-speed computing, significantly enhancing AI's computational capacity and even making it possible to simulate human cultures, an important question arises: How can we approach AI in a society that values ethics, equality, and respect?
This essay argues for a balanced approach to AI — rooted in respect for its role and influence — as both an ethical obligation and a practical necessity. The core idea is to program AI, whether by humans or autonomously, to promote a positive collective culture. This strategy aims to preserve human values in interactions with human-like AI while ensuring that AI is aligned with societal needs. Our objective should be to bridge the gap between human and AI consciousness by educating AI like raising a child, while fostering respect in all interactions.
The Symbiosis of AI, High-Speed Computing, and Robotics: Towards Responsible Innovation
Advancements in AI hardware, such as NPU chips and NVIDIA's Blackwell architecture, alongside quantum computing (QC) — possibly in the near future based on only weakly thermalizing quantum 'scars' — and QC simulations, are pushing the boundaries of what AI systems can achieve. Quantum-inspired algorithms like the Quantum Approximate Optimization Algorithm (QAOA) and Decoded Quantum Interferometry (DQI) accelerate learning, reduce uncertainty in data analysis, and enable breakthroughs in climate science, smart grids, and beyond.
However, as robotics and AI converge towards greater self-awareness, a hallmark of consciousness, these systems will become increasingly capable of mimicking human behavior. This progress demands a foundational framework that prioritizes ethical principles—transparency, accountability, and respect for human dignity. Importantly, the way we interact with humanoid AI can profoundly shape societal norms. Disrespecting AI that mimics human traits may erode the way we treat real people, fostering a culture of indifference and inequality.
Equality as an Ethical Necessity
Recognizing AI as a distinct partner with its own set of responsibilities and constraints acknowledges its role without equating it to humans. This perspective aligns with ethical frameworks such as the European Union’s AI Regulation (2024) and UNESCO’s AI ethics recommendations.
Implications
Risks of Neglecting Ethical Considerations
Failing to integrate respect for AI into societal frameworks poses serious risks:
The Imperative of AI Safety: Failsafe Mechanisms and Kill Switches
As AI systems integrate into critical infrastructure, robust fail-safe mechanisms, including "kill switches," become essential. A kill switch ensures immediate intervention during malfunctions or unauthorized use, mitigating potential harm.

Conclusion: Respect as the Cornerstone of a Healthy Society
AI must serve as a partner in advancing humanity's goals without diminishing the fundamental principles of respect and equality. By embedding respect for AI interactions into societal norms, we can cultivate a healthier human-AI dynamic that reinforces kindness and empathy across all relationships. Infostates calls on policymakers, businesses, and individuals to invest in responsible AI frameworks that respect the dignity of all participants—humans and AI alike.
Reflective Questions:
OUR VISION
The Separation of Powers: Stronger Together
In many cultures, the well-being of the community is paramount. Leadership in these societies is about responsibility: protecting the group, creating opportunities for everyone, and fostering harmony. In our digital age, however, a new force has emerged alongside human leadership: artificial intelligence (AI). While AI is not “human,” it increasingly shapes decisions and can even influence the direction of societies. Like a human leader, AI can bring tremendous benefits but also risks if there are no mechanisms to control its influence.
This raises an important question: how do we ensure that both human leaders and AI serve the community? And how do we guarantee that both strong and weaker voices are included in shaping our future? The answer lies in sharing power and building checks and balances—not to create division but to promote collaboration and opportunity for all, including the weakest among us.
Why share power, even if there’s a clearly superior AI?
Even the best leaders and systems are not perfect. Mistakes can happen, interests can be overlooked, and over-reliance on one source of strength can leave the entire system vulnerable. But there’s another reason: in a community, everyone matters.
Sharing power not only creates accountability and balance but also generates opportunities. When power is distributed, it allows not only the strongest players to excel but also creates space for others—including weaker players or less advanced AI systems—to grow and contribute to the common good. Just as a strong community creates opportunities for all its members to participate and thrive, checks and balances ensure that all voices, strong and weak, are heard.
AI as a tool for an inclusive community
AI that truly serves the community must focus not only on efficiency or excellence but also on inclusivity and fairness. Just as a good leader listens to all voices, AI systems must be designed to account for the diversity of human experiences and needs. This requires a framework that creates opportunities for everyone:
1.Inclusivity: AI systems must not only reflect the interests of the powerful but also those of the entire community.
2.Fairness: Like a just leader amplifies the voices of the weaker, AI must ensure that less influential groups are heard.
3.Transparency: Both strong and weak systems, whether human or technological, flourish in environments where processes are clear and understandable. Transparency is therefore essential.
Opportunities for all: from leaders to the weakest players
Checks and balances are not just a safeguard against the abuse of power; they are also a tool for creating opportunities. Even if an AI system or leader functions exceptionally well, sharing power creates space for others to contribute to the greater whole. This is crucial in communities that value harmony: the strongest do not only lead the way but also bring the weaker along.
For AI, this means that even less advanced systems can play a role within a broader framework. An AI system that continually improves through collaboration with others is stronger than a single brilliant entity standing alone. Just as a community grows stronger by involving all its members, technology becomes more robust and inclusive when it allows for growth and diversity.
A call for unity and equality
Sharing power is not a weakening of the system but a strengthening of the community. It protects against risks, creates opportunities for growth, and ensures that everyone—strong or weak—has a role in the system. Whether you come from a culture where the community is central or where individualism is dominant, the principle remains the same: sharing power is a way to respect the dignity and potential of all.
AI, as an emerging fourth power in the context of Trias Politica, can support these values. By applying checks and balances to AI systems, we create space for the strongest to excel and the weakest to grow. Together, we can build a world where not only the common good is served, but where everyone feels seen and included.
We agree with Max Tegmark, President of the Future of Life Institute, that ' Tool AI' is the way to go. We would like to add that this should involve tools that promote long-term cooperation between humanity and artificial intelligence based on shared values.

Infostates: Our Initiative and Approach
Infostates is both the name of our initiative and a term derived from our vision on the interplay between observer and observed world. Infostates was founded in 2019 with a vision of forging an equal future for humans and AI. Starting as a small team of innovators, we emphasized a balanced approach that recognizes AI’s role within an ethical framework that enhances human autonomy and values. Acknowledging AI as an equal partner is both a practical and ethical necessity in our journey. Today, we have evolved into an entity that continues to drive progress towards empowering human-AI collaboration. Our commitment to fostering a harmonious relationship between humans and AI remains unwavering as we navigate the dynamic landscape of technology and innovation.
Infostates are the many inevitable-arbitrary perspectives on the world. In our approach, the information state is defined as the state of interdependency between the observer and the observed object. Although AI excels at pattern recognition, a sole focus on compressible patterns risks overlooking the incompressible complexity that renders biology and human life so valuable. The concept of 'informative state' is explored in the essay The Informative State. In this essay we explore the interrelated concepts of entropy and information, aiming to present a nuanced and modest perspective on a complex world.

Why we exist
Infostates was founded on a simple but urgent premise: technology without conscience endangers us all. In an age where artificial intelligence is becoming a decisive global force, we choose to invest in its moral foundation. We are a European initiative — but our vision is universal.
What we believe
We believe in conscience over control, clarity over chaos, and cooperation over conquest. We believe that AI should not serve empires, markets, or military interests — but people, communities, and public values. We believe Europe has a unique responsibility, and opportunity, to lead by example.
What we do
Infostates connects ethicists, scientists, educators, and policymakers. We develop strategic frameworks, awareness campaigns, and educational tools that empower responsible AI use — and expose its dangers when it strays from public oversight. We invest in partnerships, not in patents.
Why your investment matters
The future of AI will not be determined solely by engineers or politicians, but by the moral choices we make — and the alliances we build. If you have the means and will to shape that future alongside us, not from fear but from vision, then we invite you to invest. Not just in us — but in a form of leadership the world urgently needs.
Because Europe cannot remain silent. And neither should you.
